My BIG news!

Thanks for checking back to see what my news is, and without further ado.....I am signing up as a demonstrator for Stampin Up! Years ago I was a demonstrator for this great company, but it was not the right timing for me to make it work. Now I have the BEST person in the world as my upline....Pam from Paper Askew Studio. I think she is so very creative and together we come up with some great ideas, I just can't wait to see where this venture goes! This is going to be so much fun!!!!!

My prize!!

Last night I went to Pam's stamp camp and got my bag that I won from the 3D Challenge blog that she runs with her friend Carrie. So of course I had to put my winning project in the pocket right away and take a picture of it....can I just tell you how much I love this bag so far!!! If you are thinking about getting one of these, don't wait any longer....they are GREAT!!! Hopefully I will have some more crafty things to post soon, and I have some news to share on the 1st. Maybe tomorrow I will get something done while hubby goes to play golf with some work buddies :)

3D Design Challenge

The 3D ladies did it again, another great challenge. For this I made my own little idea book and xmas list, so sneaky huh?! I designed the front page (7 3/4" x 5") with fall colors, my favorite season and these colors are so great!! Then I made the back side with some christmas type colors, so when I am out shopping I can write stuff in there for gift ideas or if I already bought someone a gift (darn my memory for not keeping better track of this stuff without a list :) So inside there are some sheets of plain paper and when I see something that sparks an idea, I can pull that out and jot it down. Since I used ribbon to put it together, I can always take out the pages and put new ones in when I need to.

I hope you enjoy my little 3D project I made, I had a lot of fun putting it together. Have a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this :)

Blog Candy Alert

Last year I participated in the 31 sketch challenge leading up to Angel's birthday and she is thinking about doing it again this year....but needs a few more votes to convince her that people would participate! To play along you just need to make a card a day using the sketch she gives you each day, see easy peasy! I thought it was a great way to spark my mojo (no you do not have to make one each day, but why not?) I hope you will go check out her blog here and let her know you would love to play along for the whole thing or just play when you get a chance!!!

Don't forget to check out my last post below to see the other 3 cards I made :)

Oldie but goodie!!!

It has been so long since I have posted that I thought it was a great time to pull out something I did awhile ago and share it with you all! I know, so sweet of me ;) I made this little ensemble as an end of year gift for one of the girls teachers. I used Cranberry Crisp and True Thyme papers and inks, love those colors together. I made a nugget box using all PTI stamps and then used my SU Baroque Motifs stamp set for the candle and card.

Tomorrow I will show you the other 3 cards I made using the same colors.....I just love them all so much!!!

Wow!!! Another post!

2 posts in 2 days, I am on a roll!!! I had to make this card pretty quickly yesterday for my DD's BF birthday. I like the way it turned out, but it is so much more than what I am used to doing. As you can see I got some new Bella's from my LSS and just love them so much, now I just need to get a good coloring medium to use on them. I liked stamping them in the Close to Cocoa as it was not too stark against the white background. I used some watercolor pencils to fill her in, my cuttlebug folder for the background along with some of my nestabilities for the actual main image and the scallop behind it. I got to use my new punch and stamp from SU! also....all sorts of new stuff going on with this card.

Thanks for the comments on my last bag, I am so glad you all like it too! Now off to see if I can keep my mojo going for a bit longer, need to get some DT stuff done for ELE.

Happy Friday!!!

So I am back today with my second box I made for the 3DDC girls. Not that I really did much with it, I just LOVE how it turned out!!!! Again I used the Figgy Pudding paper and on the front layer I punched out the scallop oval, luckily the paper behind lined up perfectly. Then I punched out another oval on white paper after stamping "Joy" from PTI. When I was going to stamp this, I decided I did not want it to be bright red, so I first inked it up on the Real Red pad and then, without pressing too hard, inked it on the Close to Cocoa pad before stamping. Then I edged it with the cocoa pad and adhered it inside the punched out oval. For the life of me I could not get my ribbons to acuratley match up for the handles, oh well! I used some small silver brads to attach the ribbon and figure it would be cute to put a little xmas gift inside......maybe a homemade ornament or some other type of goodie like that.

Please let me know what you think about this box, I usually never get this excited over much of anything I make and can't wait to hear what you think!!!!

3DDC 1 sheet bag

I have finally been able to create a little bit today, and I had so much fun I made 2 of them! You will have to come back Friday to see what else I made (it happens to be my favorite, but I love them both) Of course I had to use some more Figgy Pudding paper from BG, I just LOVE this stuff (sorry for the blurry pics). For this first one I am showing you, I made a little topper for the bag from the left over paper and used some ribbon to tie it closed. I was going to stamp along the topper or do something to it, but it just looked so good on it's own that I left it.

Thanks for checking in to see what I have been up to, I hope that once I get settled in my new job my creative juices will keep me going!!! I do have a little project I am going to do for the ladies at my new job, just need to find some time to get to it.
