3D Milk Carton

I am back with another 3D item for the 3DDC blog....a milk carton. Last week I made a sweet find at Hobby Lobby, a pack of Figgy Pudding papers for 40% off. So guess what I made my carton with? ;) This paper jumped out at me to be used, and it will work so well with my favorite holiday treat to make...Mint Oreo Truffle balls, yummo!!! I decided not to tape the top together so when I give this to a teacher, she will be able to get into the treats a little easier, so I used a clip that I just added some paper to and a ribbon. I am sure all the other cartons will be better, but I really love how this one turned out...just like I imagined! I did use a stamp from PTI inside the extra peppermint that says Holiday Treats, so cute.

The rest of this week might pass me by before I get another chance to be crafty, I started a new part time job yesterday, the girls are sick, hubby has surgery and my FIL is back in the hospital during his round of chemo. Way too much to deal with, but maybe that will fuel my mojo and make me want to escape and create for a bit. I hope you will see me again before I post my next 3D project, but if not, have a great week and Labor Day weekend!

3D Box TAKE 2!

*Updated - I forgot to link this up to the 3D blog, so this box did not make it into the judging...of course my boxes were not near as great as the others, but it was fun to try!*
I actually got it done....another 2468 box for the challenge! This one is actually a bit bigger than what it calls for, but I wanted more room to play. Of course I used my very favorite set Baroque Motifs, all along the sides is the big stamp which I embossed with clear sparkly powder. Then I took Wild Wasabi ink and sponged it over the embossing, stamped the small flowers in the same color along with the sentiment and larger flower. I used the ribbon to tie it all together. I thought it would be a nice gift box for a wedding gift or even favors from the bride and groom. Sorry for the bad pic, but I did just get it finished and that is the best lighting I could get for the time of day.
Thanks for looking!!!

White Fence Farm

I thought since I have not posted anything crafty for a few days that I would post a couple more pics from my birthday dinner. Here are the girls at the petting zoo part of the farm, the youngest would not get any closer than she did in this picture and the oldest was having a lot of fun feeding Tank the steer. I will try and get a crafty project up maybe later tonight....might try another 2468 box for Pam and Carrie's 3D Challenge blog! Guess I better get busy since I only have a few hours :)

Birthday Cards

Here are the cards my DD's made for me for my birthday. The first part of my surprise was that they made me a banner that they strung up in their room, so sweet!! They also got me an outfit they knew I wanted, so fun to have girls because they pay attention to those things!! The white card is by my oldest and my youngest (of course) made the other one. I am enjoying this phase they are in as now they want to make cards and play with all my fun stuff, we are even planning some time to play tomorrow. I will be back to post more of what they make this weekend on Sunday.

Make sure to check my previous post for my 3D Challenge entry and let me know what you think about my first attempt!!!

3D Design Challenge

I was so excited to see what the first challenge was going to be on Pam and Carrie's new blog....it was a 2468 box. I had never made one before, hello....so simple and fun to play with. I will admit my first attempt is not my favorite, but I do like it! Now I am just going to have to make more so I can figure out my favorite way to decorate and use them. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!

I don't like to spread the word on things like this, but I felt it was important this year, and don't even ask how old I am today! :) Usually we go out and eat wherever I choose for dinner and this year I chose White Fence Farm in Lakewood, CO. I have only eaten there once before, but their corn fritters have been on my mind since then.....yummy! It seems this year the hubby and girls have something special they got for me, I guess I will have to update this later and let you know how my day ended up.
Thanks for all of your wonderful comments :)

Oh, I almost forgot....tomorrow is the launch of 3D Design Challenge blog, make sure you go and check them out!!!

Birthday Card Challenge

Hi everyone!! Go check out my latest card on the ELE blog and play along!!! Next week is my birthday and Jen had her birthday in late July so we came up with a birthday card challenge. On my card I used some of my balloon eyelets that I have had for a couple of years now....next I will use them on a birthday page, how perfect! It would be so cool to see some other birthday cards made with eyelets, so join in the fun and let me and ELE see what you come up with :)

Have a super day!

I'm back!!!!

Hello again! It feels like I have not been able to post forever, but now I can get a few days in before I am off for a few more days. It will be nice when my parents get home, I don't mind watching the dog or the house....I think I miss them more than I mind helping them out. I am happy they will be home in less than a week, on my birthday actually, but I probably won't see them until Wednesday evening :(

Enough about that, now onto the page....this is based off the same sketch I made my first DT project with. Pam did a great job on the sketch and I really like how the page turned out, now if only I could get ALL those old pictures onto pages that quickly!!! My girls were so cute in 2001, of course, they still are! Everything on this page is from Eyelets Etc. starting with the 12x12 background paper, layering papers, stickers and of course eyelets.

Thanks for checking in today and saying Hi!

Eye-Lets Etc. Design Team Card

Sorry I have been absent for a few days, but I do have something posted on the ELE blog...my first DT project!!! I have not been home all week as we are dog sitting for my parents who are working on their retirement house in PA. Until I get my camera to download to my laptop, I won't have much to show you :( At least you can go and check out this post to see what I made for my hubby for our anniversary. I really love the way it turned out and almost everything was from Eye-Lets Etc. except for the ribbon and the little bit of ink I used to sponge the edges. The words on the card are some clear stickers that came in my kit along with the paper and the star eyelets. I also have a layout I did of a trip to the zoo but I need to get the camera working with the laptop to show you that. I just LOVE how it turned out!!!(I think I already said that!) Check out the blog today to see what we all did with our first sketch and tomorrow Pam will post it for everyone else to play along with!

Thanks for looking and feel free to let me know what you think of my first DT project!!!
